Hashim Ahmed

CA

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Ahmed brings over 19 years of experience to the Board of Stratabound, the past 10 years of which has been focused in the mining industry along with expertise in financial management, strategy, corporate turnaround, and capital markets. Mr. Ahmed is currently Chief Financial Officer of Jaguar Mining Inc. having previously served as Vice President and Controller for Jaguar. He obtained his CA designation with PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP and later worked with Ernst & Young LLP in their mining advisory practice. Prior to Jaguar, Mr. Ahmed worked with Barrick Gold for over 7 years, where he held progressively senior positions in finance functions in Canada, and with site finance teams in Chile. At Jaguar, he oversees financial and non-financial aspects of the business, including economic strategy and business planning, treasury and tax management, human resources, supply chain and systems. Hashim is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) USA and the Financial Executives International (FEI) Canada, where he is also actively involved as a volunteer.

R. Kim Tyler

Kim Tyler, P.Geo. (BC, ON) is a mining and exploration professional with over 40 years of management experience in gold, base metals, and industrial minerals with companies including Inco/Vale, Rio Tinto, Royal Oak Mines, Cominco, Dundee Precious Metals, Harte Gold, and Temex Resources. Mr. Tyler brings extensive technical expertise in mineral exploration as well as in open pit and underground mining operations.

Since 2007, Mr. Tyler has served as an officer and director for TSXV-listed junior exploration and development companies leading executive teams through exploration to pre-development, successful financings, property acquisitions, resource estimations and PEA studies, and various mining agreements including Impact Benefits, custom milling and concentrate off-take agreements. Under his leadership one of these companies was awarded “Developer of the Year” in 2008 by the Northwestern Ontario Prospectors and Developers Association and received a public award of recognition for best business practices by the Grand Chief and Council of the First Nations within Treaty #3.

Having worked within both junior and major mining and exploration environments, Mr. Tyler has had exposure to innovation and best industry practices from several leading corporate cultures

Wendy T. Chan

Ms. Chan has over 20 years’ experience in developing and executing strategic plans for major companies with global outreach, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures, and cross-cultural strategic alliances. In the mining space, companies she has worked with include: Zijin Mining, Skeena Resources, Roxgold, Sunridge, Novo Resources, Vendetta, and VR Resources. She has profitably managed businesses with full P&L responsibilities and/or completed key projects ranging from $2-250MM. She has devised strategic plans at Fortune 500 companies and has led negotiations and cross-functional teams in corporate development, marketing, strategic alliances, and product portfolio management. During her time at Moxie Strategy Inc., a management consulting firm that specializes in strategy, business development, and mergers and acquisition, she has led and completed key development projects in Asia, Australia, Africa, North and South America. Ms. Chan holds a BSc. from University of British Columbia and an MBA in Finance from McGill University. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Gary Nassif

P.Geo, M.Sc.

Director

Mr. Nassif is a professional geologist with over 25 years’ experience in gold, base-metal and diamond exploration in Canada, United States and sub-Saharan Africa.

He is the former Senior Vice President of Jerritt Canyon Gold, previously privately owned by Sprott Mining Inc. and recently acquired by First Majestic Silver Corp. He is also President & CEO of Argentum Silver Corp., a TSX-V listed explorer, and a director of Inventus Mining and Warrior Gold. He was previously Manager of Exploration Services for several juniors  including Trelawney Mining & Exploration prior to its sale to IAMGOLD for $608 million in 2012. He holds an M.Sc. in Geology (McGill University), a B.Sc. in Geology (Concordia University) and a Certificate in Mining Law from Osgoode Hall.

Jonathan Hill

Mr. Hill has over 30 years’ experience of global exploration, mining operational and project development experience including, Africa, Australia, and the Americas. He currently holds the position of Expert Advisor on the Management Committee of Jaguar Mining Corp. and is an independent Director for Royal Road Minerals Limited. He spent most of his formative years as a geologist with Anglo American and AngloGold Ashanti, where he recently held the title of Exploration Manager, Colombia Greenfields and was directly involved in the discovery of several world-class projects within both greenfield and brownfield areas. Jon holds a BSc (Hons) Economic Geology 1988 (University of Cape Town), and a BAppSc. Applied Geology 1985 (Queensland University of Technology). He has been a member of AUSIMM since 1986 and a Fellow since 2018.

Chad Tappendorf

Mr. Tappendorf is a Partner at Coast Capital, an investment firm based in New York which takes a private equity and long-term approach to investing into public companies. Mr. Tappendorf has extensive global private and public equity investment experience and has held board memberships of several companies in the resources, logistics, real estate, and consumer goods industries. Mr. Tappendorf has managed and lead teams of professionals in US$ multi-billion private equity portfolios and led all aspects of the investment process, including identifying new investment opportunities, due diligence, valuation, and transaction/tax structuring and negotiation.

Scott Rasenberg

Mr. Scott Rasenberg, CPA, CA is the President of Rasenberg-Group Limited. In this role Mr. Rasenberg provides innovative tax solutions to a broad range of clients, including private and public corporations, partnerships, trusts, and individuals (residents and non-residents of Canada). His experience includes international and domestic tax structures, reorganizations, tax appeals and compliance, acquisitions, mergers and divestitures in a diversity of sectors including manufacturing, retail, transportation, financial and investment services, real estate, mining, agribusiness and a diverse range of service industries. During his career Mr. Rasenberg has managed administration and implementation of company-wide programs for approximately 450 employees and been responsible for significant procurements, treasury and capital asset management. Mr. Rasenberg is the former Chairman of the Board of California Gold Mining Inc. and the former Vice-President Finance & Administration of J.M.R. Electric Ltd.

Ron Tomlinson

As CEO of the Tomlinson Group, Mr. Ron Tomlinson has over 35 years of experience in construction materials, infrastructure, environmental services, and aggregates. He has executive-level expertise in management, strategic acquisitions, real estate holdings, partnership and operations. The Tomlinson Group has been producing quality aggregates for more than 40 years and has 25 licensed pits and quarries situated through Eastern & Northern Ontario as well as providing environmental services, waste recovery processing and leading technology in waste to organic fertilizer and recycling. Mr. Tomlinson led this evolution through organic growth and by acquisitions of business that vertically integrate into the core lines of business. The company has grown geographically expanding across Ontario and into the US markets

Martin Stratte

Director

Mr. Stratte is a land use and environmental attorney. His practice is focused on the permitting of mines, quarries, and related infrastructure projects. He has successfully permitted projects in jurisdictions throughout the U.S., including California. He currently serves as Assistant General Counsel of Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. He also serves as Vice Chair of the California Construction and Industrial Materials Association (CalCIMA) Legal Action Committee.
